Great app. Love how I can use it to generate objective-c code for me. It has saved a ton of manual work.

A real time saver.

Ive been using this app for about 6 months, and its been super handy to have open to paste any JSON string into and out of to help visualize and model object. Its become a staple of my develpment toolset.

Very handy app to keep on hand for viewing and editing JSON strings and files. Small and utilitarian - does one thing and does it well, no bloat on this one!

Change to 4 star because when insert JSON as one string and it has errors and validation fail, the validation fail alert cover part of json and I cannot fix it if the syntax error at the end of the JSON. Very annoying. Wil change to 5 start as soon as fixed.

The App is simple and good! But, please, remove a file type filter in the open file dialog - its very annoying! :) It would be better if the App can open an every file and ignoring its extension.

Very nice tool, but it takes strict JSON validation approach, i.e. it requires keys to be enclosed in double-quotes. While strictly speaking it is required in JSON, the reality is that most JSON parsers (the one in ECMAScript included) do allow using unquoted keys in JSON and a lot of web-services output unquoted keys, for brevity. For practical reasons it is very important to allow such mode. Please add the option

It would be perfect if it supports code folding and search.

Rarely do I write app reviews but this app has saved me a lot of time and it cost nothing when I paid for it. This an awesome little app, it pops open really fast, lets me quickly throw in some JSON and cleans it up! Buy it now if you have anything to do with JSON. A suggestion for the developer: Please include a feature to fix broken JSON or implement a more helpful issue finder.

this is somewhat pointless without the ability to search through the results

Sometimes when trying to make some sense of large json member docs, this app will be a great tool, it only lacks find functionality but in general is very usefull when working with json.

Finding this gem made my day, if only I had found it sooner. My one request is to add tabs to the window, and possibly side by side comparisons. It would just make jugging multiple files a little cleaner than having a bunch of windows open.

JSON Toolbox works best with files of JSON data, less so with pasting JSON from other apps. Minor things like a popup error message hiding the horizontal scrollbar and the lack of a toggle to softwrap the JSON since hitting "Minify" results in a one line high, very wide document which is pretty useless (I understand that minifying removed the newlines but the app should be smarter about presentation). Line numbers on the error messages would be a great addition as would a "New" button on the toolbar that cleared the current document which would save some steps (the toolbar doesn’t seem to be of the standard customizable variety). But I’m being picky, for the money this is a solid app that does what it claims and I use it frequently.

…but it needs more love! Hasn’t been updated in forever!

I’ve used JSON toolbox to clean up json code I want to be able to view. It works fine for that. I tried doing some editing. The editor seems to convert my double quotes to smart quotes. Not legal json. Rather unprofessional, too.
